Description

Heart hunting is a community event where, because of Covid-19 and social distancing, people are decorating their houses with hearts and people who go for walks or drives in the community can look for them, count them, and have a feeling that we are all in this together. Use these materials to create a fun activity that combines socializing from a safe distance, getting outside, and math data collection and graphing.

Depending on the child's age, you can very easily add activities while using this information. It's a great way to encourage physical activity, real-life data collection and observations. Have students create a chart in Google or on paper. Be creative! It's a fun social distance activity for all ages.

If you do not have heart collecting in your community you can easily change this up and use it for bird watching, types of trees, counting cars, and so much more.
