This journal compliments the Heart to Heart Unit Powerpoint and Lesson Bundle. Print out a journal for each of your students (preferably in color). After finishing a particular exercise/activity during class, have the students record their heart rate in the appropriate box of the number table at the top of the journal. At the end of class, give your students time to plot their heart rates on the provided line graph and allow them to use this information to analyze the differences between the effect of muscular strength exercises, muscular endurance exercises, cardiorespiratory endurance exercises and flexibility exercises on their heart rates. This resource consists of 4 individual entries that are tied to lessons within my Heart to Heart Unit powerpoint/lesson plans. Journals included in this resource tie in with Lesson 2, Lesson 3, Lesson 5 and Lesson 7 of the unit.
