My students were really engaged with this one! They were very interested in how Henrietta Lacks had such an impact on medical standards especially with minorities. Students were prompted to create an argument while using content about DNA and relating it to todays’ medical standards

My students loved this assignment! It is highly engaging for all students. I have classes with students in all ranges of abilities and this assignment allowed for differentiation and fit all needs. My students found it eye opening to learn the influence Henrietta Lacks had on the medical system.
