This 5 lesson bundled unit will fill your classroom with all the information you want your students to know about heredity, reproduction and plant and animal life cycles. Lesson 1: Addresses the question "How can a flowering plant reproduce?" and addresses the four major parts of a plant, but focuses on going in depth about the flower, the reproductive element of the plant.

Lesson 1 also includes:

Lesson 2: "What processes can be found in the life cycles of plants?" This lesson focuses mostly on following the stages in the life cycle of a bean plant and includes instruction for a real world experiment. However, it also addresses other types of plants like conifers and seedless plants.

Lesson 2 also includes:

- 22 animated power point slides

- 5-E style lesson plan

- Student learning map / note taker

- Daily observation tracker for classroom bean growth

- Bean plant life cycle organizer summary outline

Lesson 3: What similarities and differences do the life cycles of various animals have? This lesson focuses on metamorphosis in the life cycle of butterflies and amphibians, especially the frog. However it also address incomplete metamorphosis in insects like the dragonfly. Reptiles, fish, birds and mammal life cycles are also addressed in this thorough lesson.

Lesson 3 also includes:

The information is great. I would have liked to see the inclusion of more student centered activities - like the bean plant. It covered the standards well and is also a resource that can easily be used if you have a sub in the room.
