A pack of resources and activities to support the teaching of the traditional nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle.

Included is:

- A full poster of the rhyme. Print in A4 or A3 depending on preference. Full-colour and black and white versions included

-sequential posters highlighting the various parts of the rhyme. full-colour and black & white versions included.

- Homework sheets - Small versions (colour and b&w) of the rhyme to send home

- Hey Diddle Diddle craft - create a fun moveable craft of the cow jumping over the moon!

- Selection of colouring sheets

- Stick puppet cards - use these to retell the rhyme. Full colour cards included or have children decorate their own using the black and white version

- Hey Diddle Diddle chain cards - Colour cards – cut out multiple copies of the cards and put a hole punch at the top & bottom of each card. Laminating them is recommended. Put children in pairs or groups and take turns at turning over one card. Collect the cards in sequential order and link them together to make a nursery rhyme chain. Black and white version included for children to make their own chain on a strip of card

-Wide selection of sequencing activities for a variety of different levels from simply matching pictures to numbers in order of the rhyme to reading sections of the rhyme and matching to the correct picture. Also included are a selection of differentiated cut and stick sequencing activities.
