I hope your students enjoy these activities as well as mine. I created this packet for my students because the teachers at my school observed that so many of their students were making careless writing errors involving homophones. Enjoy these activities as your students increase their understanding of homophones in a fun and creative way!

Activity #1: Jelly Bean Match-Ups
Use these 22 pairs of homophones (jelly bean cards)
for a concentration game or distribute the cards to
students and have them “mingle” around the room
until they find their match. Then have each pair of
students read their definitions and have the rest of the
class guess the homophones.


Activity #2: Jelly Bean Juggle
Use the jelly bean jar cards with the game board.
Follow the directions as shown on the game board.

Activity #3: Cupcake Worksheets
Three different worksheets for students to identify
the correct homophone that completes the
sentence.

Activity #4: Word Bank Worksheet
A worksheet with a word bank for students to
identify the word that completes a paragraph.
