Description
This is an extra credit activity that I offered for my students who need an extra challenge. The students are required to submit an idea based on a pre-determined list of topics including: Multiplying Fractions, Dividing Fractions, Multiplying & Dividing Integers, Multiplying and Dividing Decimals, Area of Circles, Circumference of Circles, Volume and Surface area of cubes, ratios, percents, proportions, mean, median, mode & range, scale drawings, commutative property, associative property, distributive property, and complementary and supplementary angles. After the topic is chosen from the student's top 3 list, they are required to answer five questions related to their topic in order to better organize their presentation. Once they have turned in this organizer, they will be ready to create a video, powerpoint presentation or poster...You might say, all of this work for a homework pass??? But there are still students who seek the challenge and additional mode of learning! This also could be offered as extra credit instead.
