Description

Description of Spreadsheet Columns:

  • Done (A): A column likely used to mark an assignment as complete (e.g., with a checkbox or 'X').
  • Class (B): Identifies the subject or class for the assignment.
  • Assignment Name (C): The specific name of the homework or task.
  • Type (D): Categorizes the assignment (e.g., homework, quiz, project, reading).
  • Due Date (E): The date the assignment is due.
  • Days Left (F): A calculated field showing how many days remain until the due date (relative to the current date).
  • Time Due (G): Specifies the time of day the assignment is due.
  • Status (H): Tracks the assignment's current state (e.g., To Do, In Progress, Submitted, Graded).
  • Notes (I): A space for additional details or reminders.

Why it is helpful for teachers as a tracker:

  1. Organizational Tool for Students/Parents: If a teacher sells resources, this tracker can be an excellent bonus or stand-alone product to help students (or parents tracking student work) stay organized, especially for long-term projects or multiple classes.
  2. Resource Management: For teachers who use this themselves, it provides a centralized place to track what assignments they have given, when they are due, and where they are in the grading process (using the Done and Status columns).
  3. Time Management Visualization: The Due Date and Days Left columns automatically provide a clear visual of upcoming deadlines, which is highly beneficial for time management.
