A small description of horse height measurements including in the instructions that indicates conversions from hands to inches/feet and from inches to hands.

The editable google slides could easily be left as class work, sub work, or used for in class practice. There are ten total problems, five inches to hands and five hands to inches and feet.

In my classroom, I have students use a horse measuring tape, stick and mechanical measuring tape to compare the accuracies of each as they measure their classmates. Then, we work independently on this handout and compare answers at the end of the conversions.
