Hot Chocolate Math

Warm up this winter season with this Hot Chocolate Math to practice ten and some more!

I started off by using the Hot Chocolate Math mat and REAL marshmallows as counters! Students can use the spinner provided or 0-9 dice to roll to determine how many extra ones go in the second mug. Then, students write the number and determine what "10 and __" is. Great practice for those teen numbers and understanding the concept of ten and some more!

After using the mat and marshmallow manipulatives, the students picked how many extra marshmallows they wanted to glue into the second mug. They then recorded the correct numbers on the line.

Color and black and white options are provided!
