Looking for a way to teach the concept of Hot or Cold in a hands-on way? Do you need a way to test comprehension with your non-verbal students and young learners?

These printable science cards feature real-life pictures that make learning about the concept of hot and cold fun and engaging! With no writing required, they’re ideal for strengthening fine motor skills and coordination.

For beginners, present one object from each category and ask which is hot or cold. For more advanced learners, have them sort all the cards into the two categories.

Use as an introduction, for extra practice or they are great to test comprehension and understanding!

Includes:

  • 9 picture cards for hot
  • 9 picture cards for cold
  • Hot sorting mat
  • Cold sorting mat

Using real photographs allows children to become more familiar with things that they will see in the world around them and allows for easier generalization than traditional clip art!
