Description
This science experiment has to do with the force of air pressure against the force of gravity. This sheet gives the students a list of materials, step-by-step instructions for experimenting, an easy-to-understand explanation, and extra ways to explore more.
All of my science activities are designed to be simple to assemble, with items that most everyone has in their home. As a teacher, I set these up in baggies for my students to take home and try. If there was something I thought they might not have, such as balloons or a ping pong ball, I would add those to the baggies. During quarantine, these can be uploaded and the students can either print them out or just follow on their tablet.
Materials needed for this activity: an old CD, the lid off a plastic bottle, a balloon, hot glue, and something sharp to poke a hole in plastic.
