This is an integrated lesson that combines reading, math, and CA. Environmental Science with Academic vocabulary words such as "Endangered list" and "Early Californians". Students will opportunity to read 2 page informational text, reflective questions included for comprehension (3 Q's).

Math is Graphing (see preview) animals (copies of animals included in lesson).

Student friendly instructions, great for a 2 to 3 day project and hands on learning. Excellent beginning reader for Environmental Issues and animals in CA.

Additional species discussed in regards to "longevity" of life.

Materials needed for art section- Construction paper, scissors.
