This Google Slides presentation features 40 dot patterns designed for math talks and warm-ups. These slides are perfect for use within a math workshop model, encouraging students to actively engage in mathematical discourse.

Each slide includes sentence starters to guide discussions:

  • How many dots do you see? I see ___ dots.
  • How do you see them? I see them as ___.

Additionally, there are tasks that prompt students to work in their math journals:

  • Draw the image in your math journal.
  • Write an equation that represents how you see the pattern.
