Measuring to the nearest inch or centimeter is something that needs to be practiced more often in order for it to become easier for kids. This activity gives them lots of practice with both inches and centimeters. Plus there is a recording sheet for them to record their answers on. There is also a graph to plot their answers for both inches and centimeters. And finally there are questions to be answered from looking at their graph. You can use all of these parts, or choose to just use some of them.

This is a great activity for a center station, but it can be used in the whole group, with a small group, or as the Scoot game to get kids up and moving.
