Description

This fun Christmas how-to writing activity is perfect for keeping your students engaged during December. Students will start practice their procedural writing while decorating their own gingerbread house book for their writing.

The cover is a blank gingerbread house. Students can color and cut out the included decorations to decorate their own unique gingerbread house.

After decorating their cover, it is time for writing on the interior pages. You can use this project for procedural writing (i.e. "How to build a gingerbread house,") or you can use your own writing prompt. There are four types of interior pages included: first, next, then, last/1,2,3,4/blank lines with illustration space/ full page lines. Also included are: pre-writing graphic organizers, and a bulletin board header.
