Description

This resource includes a step by step process for your students to work through answering various types of math questions (including word problems and multiple choice questions). The resource contains 8.5x11 posters with a coloured or white background (one poster for each step). There is also a student version (half-page document with all steps included) to give to students for their binder, desks, etc. so they have easy access to the process no matter where they are. These posters are a great resource to use year after year.

I usually give each student a half page copy to tape to their math divider or notebook. I also have a class set of the posters cut out, laminated and posted on a bulletin board for classroom use as an anchor chart. I leave them up during exams. They have really helped my students understand the process involved in solving math questions; I find most students don't even need the reference posters by the end of the year.

This resource is also great for parents and homeschool teachers because they are helpful for word problems right from early elementary through high school and beyond!

If you want to check out this resource before committing to the anchor charts, a free PDF version of the student steps can be accessed HERE.
