Teach students how to write creative works, such as short stories and personal essays, using a concrete approach and interspersed lesson activities! Can be taught solo or in tandem with Andzej Sapkowski's "A Grain of Truth" and the Creative Writing assignment. Students will learn:
- Gardener and architect approaches to planning
- Freytag's plot pyramid
- Promises, progress, and pay offs
- Types of setting and worlbuilding
- Principles and types of character writing
- Show, don't tell strategies
