Description

This lab is created to show how animal adaptations help a species survive. Many students don't think about humans as being animals, but we are. We also have an adaptation to help us survive, our THUMB! In this lab, students find out how difficult life would be like without the use of the opposable thumb! Students will measure the difficulty of each tasks by having their partner record the time it takes to complete the task. The students will then reflect on how these adaptation has helped us as humans survive and thrive!

Can't wait to do this with my students! Any suggestions for how to run the lab...centers the kids rotate through? Partners where 1 is tapes while 1 times? Thanks for this!
