A take home bag to cement the home/school connection. Directions on how to assemble and use bag are included.

Supports the Common Core State English Language Art Standards: Phonological Awareness.

Recognize and produce rhyming words.

Learner Objective: Students will recognize and produce rhyming words, both real and nonsensical words.

Educational Value: Students will begin by recognizing rhyme within words, as applied to stories, songs, poems, chants, etc. Students will then learn to hear the sound pattern of rhymes. Lastly, students will increase their working knowledge of word families.

Application: Students will increase both their phonological awareness and auditory skill sets. Transitioning from auditory to visual skills will allow expansion in both reading and writing activities.
