If we want students to learn something, we have to teach it! Created by a 23-year veteran IB PYP Teacher and former PYP Co-ordinator / School Visit Team Member, these 6-10 short lessons will help you explicitly teach what it means to be Knowledgeable, and show you how to encourage students to support each other by sharing their knowledge in class.

The Google Slides presentation is ready to use as-is with no further resources needed (other than some chart paper, black paper, some post-it notes, and a bag full of 'random junk'). It can be used for in-person or online learning, or downloaded as a PowerPoint.

As IB PYP and MYP teachers, we are often expected to have our students understand the IB Learner Profile attributes, but we are given very little guidance about how to actually teach these concepts - that's why I have made this Knowledgeable mini-unit.

It is a complete student-centered resource which will help your students really understand what it means to be Knowledgeable. And it does all this without any worksheets - modelling and introducing you and your students to a variety of strategies for authentic teaching and learning.
