Students will use Google Docs and Google Slides to create to research and then create their own definitions of the MYP Design Command Terms. The terms are:

Analyze

Construct

Create

Define

Demonstrate

Describe

Design

Develop

Evaluate

Explain

Identify

Justify

List

Outline

Present

Prioritize

State

Summarize

Students are asked to research each term in a Google Doc, and then create a definition of their own. My 6th graders often struggle with what these words actually mean when they are given instructions, and I have found this activity to be incredibly helpful. If they are confused, I love using the comment feature in Google Docs to leave them helpful feedback.

After defining the terms, the students then create use the Google Slides template to create 18 posters of the command terms to enhance their design skills.
