IB Math (AI SL) Topic 1.6 Bounded Numbers Scavenger Hunt
Share

Description

Incorporating game-like elements makes learning more enjoyable, which can reduce math anxiety and foster a positive attitude towards practicing math concepts. Scavenger hunts are a move around activity involving teamwork, fostering collaboration and communication skills as students work together to solve problems.

All questions are IB style questions focusing on calculations with bounded numbers and measure of accuracy. Topic 1.6 in the IB Applications and Interpretations Syllabus.

Each lettered problem, once solved, will guide students to their next question. The final question will loop back to the beginning. Students can start at any station and will complete all questions before returning to their original starting spot. Activity can also be assigned digitally (just mix up the slides before you assign) or printed as individual small cards and completed as looping cards.
