This product is an excellent resource for independent practice for IM Grade 4 Math™, authored by Illustrative Mathematics®. It provides students with extra practice for IM Grade 4 Math, Unit 4, which can be used as homework or practice. It will help students to:

  • Read, represent, and describe the relative magnitude of multi-digit whole numbers up to 1 million.
  • Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, the value of a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right.

It is directly aligned to IM Grade 4 Math, Unit 4 Section B. This is only for Unit 4 Lessons 6-11. There are one/two sheets per lesson.

Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 ÷ 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.
Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
