I teach 5th grade. I use IXL in my Math classroom as an extra practice of previously taught skills. At the beginning of the week, I assign in Google Classroom the skills that I am teaching for the week. These skills can be practiced for Morning Work, after completing the problem set for the day, or at home. At the end of the month, everyone will Step in the Arena and record their score. I teach my students to work in the Assessment IXL Diagnostics on the recommended skills in the specific areas that are below their month goal. My instructions are to work at an 80 or higher but for every 100 they can record it on this sheet and get a small reward for every three 100s (of course you can delete or change this if you choose).
