Ice Cream Language File Folder Games

INCLUDED:

2 game boards with game cards for: categories, negation, verbs, pronouns

Matching games:

•picture to picture matching

•color matching

•pronoun sentence creation

•category sorting

•sentence creation using sentence strips

•size sorting

Pages 3-13: Create two game board folders. Place each game board in a file folder and laminate. Laminate and then place the playing cards for categories, verbs, pronouns, and negation in baggies. Use pawns and dice or the included game die. To play targeting one specific goal, just use one set (ex. pronouns). To play a mixed game, move around the board and answer the color the pawn lands on.

Turn the matching sheets into file folder games. Glue the pages with a square around them (pages 14-18) to a file folder and laminate. Cut out the movable pieces (pages 19-21) and laminate. Use velcro to make attachments to each file folder game.

Pages 14-15: Picture to Picture Match (target vocabulary)

Pages 16-17: Color Matching

Pages 18-21: Pronoun Practice

Pages 22-25: Categories Sorting

Pages 26-27: Fill the Fridge (with sentence strips)
