Description

Number (1-10) recognition game is a hands-on activity in which children play with ice-cream scoops and cones.
They build ice cream cones for each number by adding the matching scoops.

UPDATED: August 13th, 2017

There are seven different types of scoops, with seven different ways to show a number: numerically, with ten frames, tally marks, words, objects (pencils), fingers and dice.

It can be differentiated by offering more or less cones, and/or more or less scoops.

This set perfectly coordinates with my:

Counting up to 12 - Number Recognition
Ice Cream Math Addition Facts to 20 Cut and Playn

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
