Description
This Ice Cream Themed Day Activity set is perfect for National Ice Cream Day, a random day of fun, or an end of year activity. It is completely cross-curricular, connecting math, science, art, and writing into an ice cream themed set. The first activity included (homemade ice cream) is the only one that is not print and go! Everything else you can print and go last minute, with no additional prep. I have used the Homemade Ice Cream activity one day and the packet as a sub plan at the end of the year. Therefore, none of the activities in the set rely on the others and can be used separately throughout the year.
Did you know students are more engaged in their learning when they are hands on? This packet is perfect for keeping them engaged all day long as they get to focus on ice cream.
This set includes making homemade ice cream with a science data collection sheet, a comic writing activity, all four operation practice, fractional line plot practice, a word search designing a logo, and two ice cream crafts.
*The homemade ice cream can also be used as a STEM project. Allow students to test out the measurements and see why the salt is needed*
