Description

It is hard to teach kids with autism and other language delays remotely! That is why I developed this Google Quiz that can be used with either Google Docs or Google Classroom to teach children to identify pictures by their color. This particular resource focuses on teaching children to identify the colors BLACK, BROWN, and WHITE. This type of task is called Listener Responding by Feature Function Class (LRFFC) on the VB-MAPP assessment. This quiz was designed to mimic in-person discrete trial instruction. Because it is so simple and does not require any special software (besides a Google account), it's perfect to ask parents to do with their children. It can also be done through video using screensharing.

The included Google quiz uses a variety of pictures to teach children to identify objects by color. Each color has 5 examples to promote generalization.

As a BCBA, I carefully created the trials to mirror what discrete trial instruction should look like. All items are presented in a field of 3 with distractors. Also, all of the questions are presented randomly each time the quiz is taken, and the answers choices are also sorted randomly. This is to avoid any possibility of memorization or biased responding.
