OVERVIEW:

These 30 task cards were created to help students apply, practice, and review identifying and drawing fractions (Common Core Standard: 3.NF.1 - 2).

Looking for more task cards that are aligned to the 4th Grade Common Core Standards? This set can be found in my 4th Grade Fraction Task Card BUNDLE as well as in my 4th Grade Math Task Cards Year-Long BUNDLE.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

30 Task Cards: These task cards come four to a page and will have students identifying and drawing fractions (fractions used: halves, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths, eighths, tenths, twelfths).

There are TWO levels of cards:

  • The first fifteen cards ask students to identify the fraction from the given model. There are FOUR model types included (number lines, parts of a group, fraction bars, and fraction circles).
  • The last fifteen cards ask students to draw the given fraction using a specific model type. The same FOUR model types from questions #1 - 15 are used and I have a blank model already draw for them on the recording sheets. They just need to shade it in correctly.

4 Challenge Cards: These challenge cards come four to a page and will have students solving more complex problems determine if two models show the same fraction).

3 Task Card Options: Within this resource, you will find a black and white version, a Google Slides version, and a self-correcting Google Form version of BOTH the task cards and challenge cards.

2 Recording Sheet Options: Within this resource, you will two different recording sheet options (one with more work space) and a recording sheet for the challenge cards as well.

Answer Key: An answer key is included.
