Understand that a function from one set (called the domain) to another set (called the range) assigns to each element of the domain exactly one element of the range. If f is a function and x is an element of its domain, then f(x) denotes the output of f corresponding to the input x. The graph of f is the graph of the equation y = f(x).

I used this PowerPoint as a quiz for my students and I loved seeing their faces think through all the questions. The visuals of graphs, tables and mappings were great for them to look at and quickly answer is it a function or not?!

I actually used this resource for distance tutoring over the summer with an incoming 7th grade math student going to Algebra I. It was a good Thumbs Up/Down visual on virtual connection to introduce and work with functions.
