Description
Students will need to work with a partner to play this game. One partner pulls a card and then draws the idiom for their partner who is trying to guess the idiom being drawn. Once guessed, the partners work together to complete the graphic organizer. The students include the idiom, the picture, and the 'situation' on the graphic organizer. The game cards give the literal meaning to help the students come up with a 'situation' for the idiom to be used. For example, if they idiom is 'don't spill the beans' the 'situation' could be 'don't spill the beans about Samantha's surprise party!' This is a challenging center, but is fun and exposes students to a variety of idioms.

Total time saver; looks like a lot of fun, too! Thanks!
Thanks!
This was a big help! Fun for all. I did have trouble getting the kids started, but after I did a couple, they began to get the idea and it was fun.
Glad you enjoyed it! It is a challenge, but the kids love it!!
