Description

This Alaskan Dog Sled Math Challenge is perfect for March during the Iditarod. This will keep your students engaged while practicing math to a fun theme! Students practice their math skills while having to work through 5 checkpoints. There are 7 checkpoints included, allowing students to chose two for differentiation. Students work and have to solve a code by answering the problems correctly. They must have the correct code before moving on. Students start in Anchorage and finish in Nome, completing checkpoints along the way.

I love doing this for a whole week during my math block, as it is set up for five, 45 minute math sessions. It could also be used as a full day transformation challenge.
