This project was the performance task we used at the end of our first nine weeks in 4th grade to assess students on several components: informational writing, human body systems, labels, place value, prime, composite, factors, multiples, patterns, word problems, creative writing. Students are given a lot of choice in this task. Once the pages are completed, they are glued into the "little book." This becomes a great piece to show at parent-teacher conferences since it encompasses so many different skills. Aligned with Common Core Standards for 4th grade.
