Description
This is a bundle for a research project about impeachment. This whole process lasted about a week with my 8th graders in U.S. History class. Not all subjects in this project actually were impeached. Part of the goal is to have students think about whether or not certain figures SHOULD HAVE been impeached or not and then if they were guilty or innocent. I also did an example presentation for my students about George W. Bush. I don't want to post it online, but if you send me a message I'll be happy to send that PowerPoint to you.
This project includes:
1. Research Guide - Graphic Organizer for kids to use during research
2. PowerPoint Slide Requirements - Slide by slide guide to what should be included
3. The Impeachment Process - An assignment I did before beginning the project in order to teach students about the impeachment process. This particular sheet references my textbook, but if your students have the Constitution in their books, they should be able to complete it. Just ignore my page numbers.
4. Impeachment Presentations - Follow-Along Guide: This is for the audience to fill out during presentations.
5. Rubric to score the PowerPoint presentations
6. Introductory Bellwork - I actually gave this out as a bellringer on the Monday of the project week before we began learning about impeachment
7. Research Links - Students should be able to find all the info they need on this collection of links. They are separated for each person who could have been or was impeached.
