Increasing Student Test Scores: Student Graphs and Student Interviews

If you want to increase student test scores, these two strategies will help you.

Strategy 4: Student Graphs are designed to visually show students how they performed on their most recent end-of-year state test. It’s like that old saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words.”

Strategy 5: Student Interviews are designed for teachers to review an individual’s student test scores by using the student graphs made in Strategy 4 and for setting student achievement goals.

This download includes the following:

For Strategy 4: Student Graphs

- background information on student graphs

- a completed example of an Excel student graph

- directions for using Excel to make student graphs

- a completed example of a Word document student graph

- directions for using a Word template to make student graphs

For Strategy 5: Student Interviews

- background information on student interviews

- the value of goal setting

- directions for completing the student interview template
