Description
This lab will help your students understand how scientists use indirect observations to learn about our everyday world. I use this lab in conjunction with my powerpoint on atoms so the students will have a better understanding of how it is possible to know about atoms without directly seeing them. I suggest doing the lab in pairs. Materials needed for each pair: one sturdy folder, painter's tape or another type of thick tape that is easy to remove, 3 small blocks, and one marble. The second page of this product includes pictures and tips to help the lab go smoothly.
