Description
This is a flashcard type this or that review activity on inductive reasoning with both print and digital versions. It is meant to be a no prep, quick review to see where common errors are in the concept. It can be a great discussion starter when you have students explain why they chose one answer over the other. If everyone chooses the correct solution, you can then ask what mistake was made to get the incorrect solution.
Student will have 12 problems to choose this answer or that answer. In the print version, students can shade in or circle which of the two answers they believe is the correct one. The digital version is on Google Sheetsᵀᴹ and is self checking with instant feedback. Each correct answer will turn green. If an answer is incorrect, it will turn red and students will need to try again.
Students should have a Googleᵀᴹ account in order to use the digital version of the resource.
In the top right hand corner, students will see the percentage they have correct and the progress bar.
The 12 problems include:
• Determining the rule for the pattern.
• Finding the next number in the pattern.
• Making a conjecture about a statement.
