Description
Other items required for this game include 3 small dry-erase boards. The activity can be used just as a worksheet or the game of tag and catch with teams.
Game instructions:
Your students get separated into 4 groups.
You work as a full class to solve the inequalities and graph them on the number line.
Then 1 student from 3 teams volunteer to be the inequality parts, each are provided a dry-erase board with part of the inequality solution written on it. 1-2 other students from the remaining team volunteer to be the wranglers. The game of catch takes place where the inequality parts try to avoid being caught and the wranglers goal is to tag each part. Once caught each part builds the solution in the front of the room. Students are asked to read the inequality out fully. If the wranglers catch the inequality runners before time runs out they earn points, if the inequality was not completed the other 3 teams earn points.
