This is a great activity I have used many times to help students with informational writing. The document is totally customizable. My students used a specific textbook with it, so the instructions will be more specific to them as far as page numbers. However, the assignment will work for anyone.

I suggest teaching Venn diagrams for comparing and contrasting before assigning this task. The document comes with a Venn diagram on the page.
