Description

This bundle combines my 4 informational writing resources that use the POW and TIDE strategies. POW and TIDE are part of the Self-Regulated Strategy Development (SRSD) model and helps students become more confident and competent writers. The SRSD model has especially helped my struggling writers.

POW is the basic writing process (Pick my idea, Organize my notes, Write and say more) and the TIDE acronym is specific to informational writing (Topic sentence, Important Details, Ending sentence).

The bundle includes:

-Lesson Plans on how to implement POW and TIDE with these resources

-Anchor Charts for the POW and TIDE acronyms

-Graphic Organizers for the TIDE acronym as well as the Writing Self-Statements

-Mentor text and Answer Keys

-Writing Prompts

-Rubrics and Self-Assessments

This bundle is designed for writers in 2nd and 3rd grade, but could be modified for other grades.
