Description

Our Informative Introduction lesson plan teaches students how to properly write an effective introduction. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to research a topic and write an informative introduction for it, including details from their research. Students are also asked to choose the best “hook” for an introduction of a topic out of a list and write why they chose it, demonstrating their understanding of what a good “hook” is for informative writing.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to introduce a topic clearly, provide a general observation and focus, and group related information logically; include formatting, illustrations, and multimedia when useful to aiding comprehension.
