Description

Check out this great project to get your students to practice all the steps of the writing process!

Read students non fiction weather stories to start learning about different types of weather. Students will then brainstorm weather topics they know a lot about, record those topics, and choose the one topic they want to write about.

Students then research more about their topic. PebbleGo is a great resource they can use or they can go to the school library and check out a book on their topic. After researching, students plan what facts they want to write about.

Students will then write a draft of their final product, edit their draft, and write their final draft. Students can finish their final draft by coloring, cutting, and gluing the weather pictures that match their topic.

Project can be used to make a cute weather bulletin board!
