Inner Coach vs. Inner Critic Game
Does the student or child you're working with struggle with defeating their inner critic or with being positive? In this game, students can play the role of inner coach or inner critic as they go head-to-head to try to win!
How to play: One player will be playing the "inner critic" role and one player will be playing the "inner coach" role. Each player will take turns coming up with statements as their character about a topic. Players get a tally on the scoreboard for every statement they make. Whoever gets stumped and can’t think of any more statements first loses!
Scoring: Players can win individual rounds or count the total number of rounds won at the end of the game to determine the winner.
Number of players: Two players or two teams of two.
*As "Inner Critic" and "Inner Coach" is often more suited and easier understood by older students, I have included a version for younger students in which Negative Nancy/Ned and Positive Polly/Paul play against each other.*
