I made this project for my Invention & Innovation students. This project has the student brainstorming, listing a bill of materials, creating a system goal, listing mechanics, coming up with possible failures and figuring out how to test the performance of the innovated product they design with The Engineering Design Process. Students will make Google Slides, sketch an idea with labels, and make an advertisement poster for the product including an ad line. There is an example for each part of the assignment to insure the students understand what's expected. My middle school Engineering students love this project! This could definitely be used in 4th-12th grades.
