There are many unique and fun activities in the STEMHAX (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, History, Art & Xtra) Insect BOOK COMPANION packet. Included are teacher guides. See STEMHAX Assistant for overview of contents.
The packet is generic and can be used with any lessons about insects. My Insect Book was inspired by some popular trade books, available as read aloud on the STEMHAX YouTube Channel.

This Insect Reader/Booklet has a YouTube video to help students with fluency, sight words and science terms. The wording in the video is identical to this downloadable reader included in this packet.
Simply print, cut and staple. Have students add more details about insect habitats and color. Use the coordinating YouTube video in an iPad center, early finishers, sub packets or as homework. So many uses for this book!
