Description

This is a comprehensive unit focused on science and language arts! Since studying life cycles is a standard, this unit allows students to research an insect either individually or in a group. This unit includes:
1. a cover page
2. description of the insect
3. a diagram (portrait) of the insect (display board)
4. habitat
5. food chain
6. life cycle
7. predator, prey, defense
8.comparing insects (this page can also be used on the the tri-fold display board)
9. fill in the blanks for the students to read when presenting
10. a letter to the parents
11. actual size (display board)
12. habitat (display board)
13. food chain (display board)
After your students have completed their research, have an Insect Expo where parents are invited to attend & hear all of the wonderful facts your students have learned about insects! My students love this project! Please let me know if you have any questions.
