Do your students need more practice identifying shapes or sorting by different attributes? This Sort by Color and Shape Game is a fun way to encourage some hands-on practice and is the perfect addition to your Spring or Insect themed math center.
Inserting the shape bug coins into these cute bug jars is also a great way to combine fine motor practice with your math center activities.
Cut, laminate, cut out the rectangular slot, and then mount the jars to a block or small container with packing tape. These interactive centers are irresistible to students and promote tons of fun hands-on practice.

- 5 large sorting jars
- 5 small sorting jars
- 25 large sorting bugs
- 25 small sorting bugs
- Shapes included: Circle, square, rectangle, triangle, and oval
- Colors included: Orange, purple, green, blue, and yellow
Suggested Uses:
- Choose to print out the Large or Small Jars and matching large or small sorting bugs.
- Print multiple copies of the sorting bugs to extend the fun!
- Attach each jar to a small container.
- Have students match bugs by shape or by color by inserting them into the slot on each bug jar.
- For younger students, have them only sort by 1 attribute at a time (by shape or by color).
