Description

There are millions of insects on the planet. Most of them are neutral or helpful to the people. Good insects can be found in many different places. There are helpful insects in the garden, in the backyard, in the playground, in parks, and even in

your home. This fun and interesting activity will help children to learn about helpful and harmful insects and later sort them.

This printable will be useful for your Montessori science or themed shelves, insect unit, science center or nature table.

The set will help children to learn about such helpful insect groups:

- pollinators

- predators

- recyclers

and such harmful insects groups as:

- health-harming insects

- garden and landscape pests

- building-damaging insects

THE MATERIAL CONSISTS OF:

  • 2 main labels (helpful and harmful insects)
  • 6 labels for different subgroups
  • 6 description cards for different insect subgroups

My students loved this activity. We sorted out on butcher paper and hung it in the hallway. Now they see it each time we pass the room and other kids are looking at it as well. My students are very proud of the work they did.
