This instructional material is part of a complete unit on animal groupings. There are lots of ways to supplement and extend the content - I’ve provided links to a Quizlet set and a Kahoot game developed specifically for this material. If you’d like to change, remove, or add something, simply use the slideshow links and google docs links to add the items to your drive, make a copy, and make it your own.
The notes are the text portion of a powerpoint presentation, and now also on Google slides(!), which is available for free - a link is provided.
Much of the content is rather rigorous for upper elementary, but I find that students respond best to high expectations.
I hope your students enjoy the challenge with this high-interest topic as much as mine have over the years!
